The commuting graphs of finite rings

In this paper, we investigate connectivity and diameters of commuting graphs of finite rings. In case of a directly decomposable ring, we calculate the diameter depending on the diameters of commuting graphs of direct summands. If the ring is indecomposable, we examine the connectedness of the commuting graph according to the number of isomorphic minimal idempotents.
